Collision Repair Across Ector County

The county-road wreck
A collision in town is one kind of problem. A collision on a two-lane county road or a lease road is another. There is no shoulder, there may be no cell signal, and the nearest tow company may be a long way off. A few things that help:
- Know where you are. A lease road name, a gate number, a mile marker, a pipeline crossing sign. If your phone has a signal, drop a pin and send it.
- Call the shop before a tow company. If the vehicle cannot be driven, we cover the tow to our shop. Tell us where it is and whether it rolls. A random tow off a county road often goes to a storage yard, and every day there costs money.
- Photograph everything before it moves. Especially on a road with no witnesses.

Deer, cattle guards and caliche
The damage we see from the county is different from the damage we see from town. Fewer parking-lot dings, more front ends. Deer at dusk on a two-lane are a constant. Cattle guards taken too fast fold steps and tear off bumpers. Caliche eats rocker panels and lower doors a chip at a time. Rollovers happen on loose gravel at speed.
Front-end damage from a deer or a guard almost always goes deeper than the bumper, because the bumper pushes into the radiator support and the support pushes into everything behind it. That is why we do not quote "just the bumper" from a photo; we tear it down and look. On a work truck, the grille guard usually takes the hit first and hides what is behind it.

Hail does not respect city limits
A storm that hits West Odessa hits the county around it. If your vehicle was outside when it came through, the process is the same as in town: we count the dents under proper light, sort them by size and whether the paint is broken, and work out which can be repaired paintless and which need a conventional repair. The wreck was on a private lease road. Does insurance still cover it?
Generally yes; where the collision happened does not change your coverage. Company vehicles may go through the company's carrier or be paid directly. Bring what you have and we will sort it.
Can you fix a rollover?
We can look at it. Rollovers are often total-loss decisions because of the roof structure, and we will tell you honestly which way it is heading before anyone spends money on it.
Do you handle the vehicle if it is already at a storage yard?
Yes. Call us and we will arrange to get it moved to the shop and write the estimate. The sooner it moves, the fewer days of storage you pay.
